The Ukrainian military possesses laser technologies that are already capable of hitting specific targets. This was stated by the commander of the Drone Forces, Vadim Sukharevsky, in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to him, the Drone Forces are continuously evolving, as this is one of the main tasks of the agency.
The R&D — innovative activities of the command, encompasses several directions. One of them, in terms of combating enemy aircraft and their unmanned aerial systems, including finding solutions to counter "Shaheeds," has led us to teams that are actively engaged in this. And so, I repeat — laser technologies are now already targeting certain objects at specific altitudes.
He also mentioned that "the intensity of enemy reconnaissance UAV flights has decreased by dozens of times." This occurred because Ukrainian FPV drones began hunting Russian reconnaissance UAVs.
This move has greatly surprised the enemy. Sherlock hasn't heard such hysteria in the swamps for a long time, — noted the commander of the Drone Forces, adding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces currently have the advantage here, as long as the Russians "don't come up with something new."
