The Ukrainian labor market in 2024 remained uneven; however, exactly one-third of job vacancies (33.33%) were located in the capital and the Kyiv region, as noted in a study on the labor market results in Ukraine published on the job offer portal Work.ua.
According to the published data, 8% of all job offers were available in Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as for remote work.
Among companies, the highest number of vacancies last year was posted by the retail chain "Fora" - over 3,960 job offers. In second place was the multi-market chain "Aurora" with 3,500 offers, followed by the retail chain "ATB" (almost 3,490 vacancies).
The top five for the number of vacancies is rounded out by the supermarket chain "Silpo" (3,200 published job offers) and the company "Nova Poshta" (3,150 vacancies).
Next in line regarding the number of vacancies are the Eva store chain, PrivatBank, "Apteka ANC", the Novus retail chain, "MHP", "Ukrposhta", the "Prostor" store chain, "Imperia HR", RetailGroup, the Dnipro-M construction tools and equipment store chain, the "OKKO" gas station network, "Podorozhnyk" pharmacy, "WOG" gas station network, DTEK, and "Apteka 911".
The job posting for Front-End Developer received the highest number of responses in a day, with the employer receiving 555 applications.
Regarding the categories that job seekers were most interested in, more than half (53%) of applications were for vacancies in seven categories: sales, procurement; IT, computers, internet; administration, middle management; marketing, advertising, PR; secretarial, office management, AHO; service sector; retail trade.
The highest-paying job was that of a realtor specializing in elite real estate abroad: the employer offered a salary ranging from 450,000 UAH to 650,000 UAH per month, expecting candidates to have a higher education in real estate, business, or marketing, at least five years of experience in the elite real estate segment, excellent knowledge of the international market, and fluency in English.
Up to 600,000 UAH was offered for a Senior Smart Contract Engineer position. The employer was looking for a candidate with four years of software development experience, at least two years working with blockchain-based projects, as well as critical thinking and a curious mind.
Among the leading vacancies in terms of salary were two offers for media buyers. Here, the requirements were more lenient, asking for six months to one year of experience with Facebook Ads. Additionally, over 500,000 UAH was offered for positions such as Blockchain Developer, Full-stack Developer, and Head of Security.
