On January 20, following his inauguration as President of the United States, Donald Trump signed his first executive orders in the Presidential office of the Capitol, according to CBS News.
The first document he signed pertained to appointments at the Cabinet level, while the second involved 47 appointments to lower positions. Trump also signed two orders appointing acting heads of departments and commissions.
Another order addressed the raising of national flags that had been lowered in honor of the 39th President, Jimmy Carter, after his passing. The flags are scheduled to be raised on January 20 and during the subsequent days of the inauguration.
Following the signing ceremony of the executive orders, the inaugural lunch commenced.
