The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated the Deputy Governor of Primorsky Krai, Russia, Sergey Yefremov. This was reported by the head of Primorye, Oleg Kozhemyako.
Yefremov was killed on February 2 while returning from a combat mission in the Kursk region. His vehicle struck a mine.
Yefremov graduated from the Ussuriysk Suvorov Military School and the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School.
He served as the Deputy Mayor of Ussuriysk and was appointed Deputy Governor of Primorsky Krai on February 28, 2024.
In August 2024, the 51-year-old politician joined the "SVO" and fought in the Kursk region. He was appointed commander of the volunteer unit BARS-22.
