The Russian army has launched yet another strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, employing various types of missiles and drones.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared this information on his Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, the targets of the Russian attack were gas infrastructure and energy facilities that sustain the lives of people in Ukraine.
"More than 40 missiles were involved in this strike, including ballistic ones. At least 30 were destroyed. Additionally, over 70 Russian strike drones were deployed overnight. Thanks to our air defense, all engaged units are maintaining the operation of our energy system," the president stated.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine continually requires the enhancement of its existing air defense capabilities. Partners at the NATO summit in Washington and in the "Ramstein" format made promises that have yet to be fully realized.
"We also discussed licenses for the production of air defense systems and anti-missiles, which could serve as one of the effective guarantees of security for Ukraine, and this is also realistic and needs to be fulfilled," he emphasized.
