On the night of February 21, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 160 drones of various types, as well as two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. A total of 87 drones were successfully intercepted.
This information was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The aerial assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The interceptions were recorded in the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk.
Additionally, 70 Russian imitation drones disappeared from radar without causing any damage. The Air Forces did not report any interceptions of ballistic missiles that struck Odesa.
Besides Odesa, the nighttime attack also affected the Kyiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.
