French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Washington next week.
This was reported by the Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, to Le Figaro.
He is coming to convey the voice of Europeans and to state that the future of Ukraine cannot be decided without them, the minister said.
Benjamin Haddad also added that there are concerns in France about a potential collapse of the "ceasefire negotiations," which would only benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Haddad also refuted the statement made by the U.S. President comparing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to a "dictator," asserting that "the only dictator in this war is Putin."
Earlier, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz reported that French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer would visit Washington "as part of other meetings aimed at ending Russia's war in Ukraine."
