The team of elected U.S. President Donald Trump is re-evaluating its approach to ending the Russian-Ukrainian war, reports The Financial Times, citing sources.

The publication spoke with unnamed European officials who have been discussing possible ways to conclude the war with Trump's team in recent weeks.

According to them, during the negotiations, it became clear that the allies of the elected U.S. president have not yet decided how to address Russian aggression.

The entire Trump team is focused on strength and the appearance of strength, which is why they are reassessing their approach to Ukraine.

The upcoming Trump administration is concerned that their decisions regarding Ukraine could be likened to the "catastrophic" withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan under Joe Biden.
