Zelensky stated that those training future officers should experience the front lines firsthand.

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that instructors from military academies who will train future officers should have firsthand experience on the front lines.
Зеленский отметил, что преподаватели будущих офицеров обязаны пройти опыт службы на фронте.

He stated this during a meeting with cadets and students from 18 military educational institutions and service members on the Day of Remembrance for the Heroes of Kruty.

He specifically addressed all instructors from military lyceums and higher education institutions, as well as the administrative staff.

“All our boys and girls who are training to be officers need to understand what is happening at the front, what modern warfare entails. This means that you, who are educating them, must have relevant experience and be on the front lines, because only then can you teach someone while truly grasping what war is like on the ground, not just in books,” — stated Zelensky.

The president noted that understanding what the front is and what it means to “ensure results for Ukraine” in modern warfare, as well as honoring both the living and fallen heroes, is a special responsibility for everyone who is learning and teaching.
