Zelensky met with the U.S. Vice President to discuss peace and economic partnership initiatives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance in Munich. They agreed to continue working on a document regarding economic partnership between the two countries.
Зеленский провел встречу с вице-президентом США, на которой обсудили вопросы мира и экономического сотрудничества.

This is reported on the state leader's website.

Next to Vens sat Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg.

The Ukrainian delegation included, among others, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, as well as the Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina.

Zelensky noted that during the meeting they discussed "many key issues." The parties agreed to continue working on a document regarding economic partnership between the countries.

The Ukrainian president also added that Ukraine is expecting a visit from Kellogg and emphasized: Ukraine is ready to move "as quickly as possible towards a real, guaranteed peace."

"This is our first meeting. It won't be the last, I'm sure. And what we really need is to talk more, work more, and prepare a plan on how to stop [Russian president Vladimir] Putin and end the war,” Zelensky said.

For his part, Vens described his meeting with the President of Ukraine as a "good conversation," noting that the Trump administration's goal is to achieve "a strong peace that will not lead to a new conflict in Eastern Europe in a few years," quotes the Washington Post.

Recall that Ukraine received a working version of the financial agreement with the U.S. regarding rare earth minerals. It was brought by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who visited Kyiv.

Later, "Suspilne" and "Ukrinform" reported that the meeting between Zelensky and Vens had to be postponed as Ukraine sent a revised agreement to the U.S., and Washington requested time to review it.
