Zelensky has dismissed Kostin from his position as Attorney General.

This is evidenced by his decree №745/2024.

The resignation of the Attorney General became known a week prior, following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council convened by the president, where the situation regarding fake disabilities among officials was discussed. A few days ago, the Verkhovna Rada supported Kostin's dismissal.

It is worth noting that on October 4, law enforcement uncovered Tatiana Krupa, the head of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) in the Khmelnytskyi region, along with her son Alexander Krupa, the head of the regional Pension Fund, for illegal enrichment amounting to millions of dollars.

Subsequently, "Censor.NET" reported that law enforcement agencies in the Khmelnytskyi region were aware of the large-scale corruption scheme orchestrated by the head of the Khmelnytskyi regional center for medical and social expertise, Tatiana Krupa, as they were her accomplices. Thus, dozens of prosecutors from Khmelnytskyi, including the regional prosecutor, managed to secure disability status.

In light of this scandal, law enforcement began investigating officials in the Khmelnytskyi region and MSEC employees. The Ministry of Health conducted inspections and revoked the conclusions of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC regarding the establishment of disability for 74 military personnel. President Volodymyr Zelensky scheduled a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council and promised a response at various levels.
