The war in Ukraine won't end tomorrow or the day after, according to Macron.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the war in Ukraine will not end "tomorrow or the day after." Therefore, it is essential to do everything possible to ensure that Kyiv endures and enters future negotiations from a position of strength.
Макрон заявил, что война в Украине не завершится ни завтра, ни послезавтра.

Macron made this statement during his traditional address to the French Armed Forces, as quoted by "Ukrinform".

He emphasized that after the cessation of hostilities, Ukraine must be provided with guarantees against “any return of war on its territory”.

“The challenge today is to give Ukraine the ability to withstand and enter any future negotiations from a position of strength. The challenge, when hostilities cease, will be to provide Ukraine with guarantees against any return to war on its territory, as well as guarantees for our security,” the politician stressed.

He also noted that Europe must independently enhance its defense capabilities. According to Macron, it is necessary to “move towards more joint programs and select European champions.”

At the same time, the President of France emphasized that peace and security in Europe are impossible without Europeans and without negotiations among Europeans.
