In the USA, amidst the dispute between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Donald Trump, people took to the streets for pro-Ukrainian rallies.

On Saturday, March 1, U.S. Vice President JD Vance visited the Sugarbush ski resort in Vermont. Local residents held a peaceful protest and greeted his motorcade with signs reading “Ski in Russia,” “Vermont Stands with Ukraine,” “Support Ukraine, Not Putin”.

Additionally, many gathered for a protest outside the Tesla dealership in Manhattan, New York City. Demonstrators held placards featuring Elon Musk with the caption “Nazi”, while chanting “Zelensky is a hero”.

What Happened in the USA?

On February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Washington for his first meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. It was anticipated that Ukraine and the USA would sign a minerals agreement.

However, at some point during the meeting between Zelensky, Trump, and Vice President JD Vance, a dispute arose regarding the Russia-Ukraine war.

Vance stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine should be resolved through diplomacy. In response, the Ukrainian president mentioned that he had already signed an agreement with Putin in the presence of the French president and the German chancellor.

Zelensky also warned that if a bad agreement were signed between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the United States would “feel it.” Vance and Trump were outraged and replied that they would be “just fine,” adding that Zelensky had no right to impose his opinion.

The President of Ukraine left the White House prematurely, and the minerals agreement was not signed. Following this, Trump wrote that Zelensky was “not ready for peace”, but added that he “could come back” when he changed his mind.

Meanwhile, several world leaders took Zelensky's side, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
