In Russia's Tatarstan, a factory producing Tu aircraft may have been targeted, leading to the closure of several airports in the region.

On the morning of January 20, the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia was targeted by drone attacks. As a result, airports in several cities were closed.

This is reported by the Russian Telegram channel Astra.

In particular, explosions occurred in the city of Kazan. The "Rosaviatsiya" announced that the local airport will temporarily cease to accept and send flights. Additionally, the airfield in Nizhnekamsk has been closed.

Meanwhile, there are suggestions online that the drones targeted the sanctioned Kazan Aircraft Plant named after Gorbunov, where strategic bombers such as the Tu-160 and long-range bombers Tu-22M3M/Tu-22M3 are produced and repaired. One of the drones allegedly struck an empty tank on the plant's premises.

The press service of the head of Tatarstan stated that industrial enterprises in the republic were under attack, as cited by Astra. However, it is reported that all drones were allegedly shot down, and there were no casualties or damage.
