An explosion occurred in a residential complex in Moscow. Reports suggest that the founder of the "Arbat" battalion, fighting against Ukraine, may have been injured.

On the morning of February 3rd, an explosion occurred at the residential complex "Scarlet Sails" in Moscow. As a result, Arman Sarkisyan, the founder of the Arbat special forces battalion fighting against Ukraine as part of the Russian army, sustained injuries.

Russian Telegram channels Mash, “112”, Baza, and propaganda agencies report this news.

The explosion occurred at approximately 8:45 AM (9:45 AM Moscow time). It is reported that the blast was caused by the detonation of a homemade explosive device.

Currently, one person is known to have died. Sources from the Telegram channel “112” claim that the victim was a man who entered the building with security guards at the time of the explosion. The concierge of the building, who was injured, stated that he had seen the deceased “on television” before.

Meanwhile, the Russian Telegram channel “VChK-OGPU” claims that as a result of the explosion, Arman Sargsyan—founder of the Armenian volunteer battalion “Arbat,” which is fighting alongside the Russian army in Ukraine—likely perished.

It is worth noting that in December 2024, the SBU informed Sargsyan of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—voluntary participation in illegal armed or paramilitary formations or providing assistance to such formations in conducting combat operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and aiding the aggressor state.

As reported by the propaganda agency TASS, law enforcement has already initiated a criminal case regarding a possible assassination attempt.

Updated at 11:10. Arman Sargsyan survived the explosion in a residential complex in Moscow; however, he lost his left leg. He is currently in a coma, according to Russian Telegram channels “VChK-OGPU” and Mash.
