In 2024, Russia experienced greater losses than in previous years of the war, according to Syrsky.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, announced that in 2024, Russian occupation forces lost 434,000 personnel, including 150,000 fatalities.

He discussed this in an interview for the "TSN Week" program, which was broadcast as part of a telethon.

According to the general, Russian losses throughout 2024 surpassed those from previous years of the conflict.

In December 2024, Syrsky reported that on the Pokrovsk direction alone, Russians were losing an average of 400 soldiers daily.

As a reminder, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of January 19, the total combat losses of personnel in the Russian-occupation forces reached 818,740. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,580 occupiers.

Additionally, since February 24, 2022, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed 9,811 tanks, 22,055 artillery systems, 369 aircraft, and 331 helicopters of the Russians.
