Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement to provide Kyiv with a loan of $3.2 billion to support its defense capabilities.

This information was revealed during a broadcast of the meeting. The Ministry of Finance also reported this.

The agency noted that these funds are part of the G7 ERA mechanism, totaling $50 billion. This loan will be serviced and repaid from future profits generated from frozen Russian assets.

It’s worth mentioning that today in London, a meeting took place between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Zelensky's visit comes a day after his meeting with US President Donald Trump. During their meeting, a dispute arose between Trump and Zelensky, leading Zelensky to leave the White House early and cancel all activities in the US.

That same evening, several global politicians and celebrities publicly expressed support for Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky on social media. Keir Starmer was among the few who refrained from making a public statement.

On the morning of March 1, Starmer stated that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, assuring that he maintained "unyielding support for Ukraine."

Summit in London

On March 2, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to host leaders from over a dozen European countries at a summit in the UK to discuss Russia's war against Ukraine and broader European security.

The meeting of European leaders will continue the summits held on February 17 and 19, organized by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
