Strike on Zaporizhzhia: rescue teams have recovered the body of a deceased man from the rubble (UPDATED).

This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, as of 18:00, one person has been confirmed dead as a result of enemy shelling — the State Emergency Service has recovered the body of a man from the rubble.

Updated at 00:15. The number of injured has risen to 12 people. A 27-year-old man is still considered missing.

The injured sustained shrapnel wounds, cuts, concussions, bruises, and fractures.

A woman is in serious condition, and a man with cut wounds, whose condition is assessed as moderate, remains under medical supervision. Eight people will receive outpatient treatment.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

On the morning of January 18, the Russians struck Zaporizhzhia, hitting the city center.

According to OVA head Ivan Fedorov, an administrative building of one of the industrial facilities in the city has been partially destroyed. Residential buildings and private vehicles have also been damaged.

Additionally, the Andreevsky Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate has sustained damage.
