«Вы можете рассчитывать на поддержку всей Великобритании»: Стармер встретился с Зеленским в Лондоне.

On March 1, a meeting commenced in London between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

This is reported by BBC and Sky News.

“You have full support throughout the United Kingdom, and we will stand by you and Ukraine for as long as it takes,” Starmer stated to Zelensky.

He added that the United Kingdom has an “absolute” and “unyielding” determination to achieve “what the two of us want to accomplish, namely a strong peace for Ukraine based on sovereignty and security.”

Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Starmer and the people of the UK for their support since the onset of the war.

After brief statements, Keir Starmer and Volodymyr Zelensky proceeded to a private meeting.

Zelensky's visit comes a day after his meeting with US President Donald Trump. During their meeting, a disagreement arose, leading Zelensky to leave the White House prematurely and cancel all engagements in the US.

That same evening, several global politicians and celebrities publicly expressed their support for Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky on social media. Keir Starmer was one of the few who refrained from making a public statement.

On the morning of March 1, Starmer announced that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, assuring that he maintained “unyielding support for Ukraine.”

Summit in London

On March 2, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to host leaders from over a dozen European countries at a summit in the UK to discuss Russia's war against Ukraine and broader European security.

The meeting of European leaders will continue the summits held on February 17 and 19, organized by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
