This was reported by the speaker of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, referencing intelligence data in a comment to LIGA.net.
He claims that the Russians plan to use armored vehicles in the areas of Priyutny and Levadny in the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Voloshin, training on the use of armored vehicles has been conducted at one of the training grounds in the temporarily occupied territory of the region. Additionally, the occupiers are preparing to engage in combat more actively under the cover of drones and using various anti-thermal cloaks.
“In modern warfare, technology is not a panacea. It is quite vulnerable in current combat conditions, which is why it is not always effective. Especially in the south, where the frontline essentially runs through a steppe area, equipment is easily visible and can be targeted by drones or artillery,” emphasized the speaker.
At the same time, he mentions that the Russians continue to use bikes and motorcycles to quickly move between positions and transport personnel and certain types of weapons.
According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the enemy launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Maksymivka, Trudove, and Novoukrainka. There, the occupiers actively employed assault and bomber aviation for strikes.
On October 27, the military reported that the Russians achieved partial success near the village of Levadne, breaching Ukrainian defenses. However, Ukrainian forces are holding positions on the heights around the settlement.
Recall that recently, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited units participating in the defensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia region.
He emphasized that the main task is to strengthen the defense of the troops in the most challenging sections of the front and ensure maximum resilience of the defense line.
