The strike damaged port infrastructure and a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Panama, which belongs to a European company. Two men, employees of the port, sustained injuries.

All relevant services are working to mitigate the effects, and medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the victims.

Attacks on Ports in the Odessa Region

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the ongoing large-scale war, Russians have attacked Ukrainian ports more than 50 times, resulting in damage to over 300 port infrastructure facilities, 23 civilian vessels, and the destruction of more than 100,000 tons of agricultural products.

Only in the fall, Russian strikes damaged four vessels in a month, including those carrying grain for Egypt and corn for Italy, as well as humanitarian cargo from the UN Food Program for Palestine.

Therefore, Ukraine has urged the International Maritime Organization to urgently send an international monitoring mission to the ports of Odessa.
