Air defense intercepted 72 out of 131 drones launched at Ukraine, while Russian forces also used ballistic missiles in their attacks.

On the night of January 21, Russian forces launched 131 drones of various types at Ukraine. They managed to shoot down 72 of them.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Incidents were recorded in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Rivne regions.

Another 59 imitation drones disappeared from radar without causing any harm. In addition to the drones, Russian forces launched 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.

Due to the crash of a downed drone in the Kremenchuk community of the Poltava region, a fire broke out in a private house, as reported by the OVA.

Furthermore, debris from the Russian UAV damaged residential homes, outbuildings, garages, vehicles, and power lines. As a result, 87 consumers remain without electricity in the region.

In the Cherkasy region, debris from a "Shahed" damaged the windows of four residential buildings, an educational institution, a store, and a non-residential building, as well as power lines in the Zvenyhorod district. Efforts are being made to repair the damages.
