They reminded that this year marks the thirteenth massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector and the tenth such attack on the company’s energy facilities. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled more than 200 times.
Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko confirmed that the Russians are launching massive attacks on the energy sector. As soon as the security situation permits, energy workers will clarify the extent of the damages. Currently, “Ukrenergo” has implemented emergency power outages.
On the morning of December 25, Russian troops conducted a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. Explosions were heard in several regions, including Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, and others. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one of the cruise missiles even crossed the airspace of Moldova.
Currently, six casualties have been reported in Kharkiv. Strikes were recorded in the Saltivskyi, Kyivskyi, and Nemyshlianskyi districts of the city.
