The Russian intelligence agency has accused Ukrainian special services of preparing a "series of high-profile anti-Russian provocations." In addition to claims of planned attacks on the opposition, the SVR stated that Ukraine allegedly intends to undermine foreign vessels in the Baltic Sea with Russian mines to blame Moscow.
Representative of the GUR Andrey Yusov told Insider that the statement from the Russian SVR is a "primitive attempt to create any alibi" for continuing future special operations of Russian intelligence services abroad.
"This topic (Russian opposition figures) is of no interest to Ukrainian special services. However, Ukraine and the Ukrainian intelligence community are working closely with international partners across all fronts, including human rights protection," said the GUR.
