The Ministry of Defense revealed which job vacancies are preferred by women at recruitment centers.

Since the recruitment centers for the Ukrainian army began operations, 8,053 individuals have already become candidates for the Defense Forces, with 20% of them being women.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The distribution of military specialties among women is as follows:

staff positions — 24%;
combat medics, nurses, doctors — 22%;
specialties related to UAVs — 13%;
cooks — 12%;
rifle specialties — 6%;
communication and cybersecurity — 6%;
psychologists — 3%.

The highest percentage of female candidates in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is found in the following regions:

Chernivtsi — 46%;
Khmelnytskyi — 42%;
Ternopil — 38%;
Rivne — 33%;
Chernihiv — 31%;
Odesa — 29%;
Sumy — 27%.

In the online recruitment center operating throughout Ukraine, this figure stands at 37%.

As of September 2024, the total number of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was 68,000.
