He made this statement in an interview with the Russian propaganda program "60 Minutes," quotes the Kremlin agency TASS.
When asked by propagandist Olga Skabeeva if Fico would like to come to Moscow on May 9, he responded affirmatively.
“Yes, I would be very happy. […] I consider it an honor to come to Moscow to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and, above all, the victory over fascism. I feel that this is my personal duty,” said the Slovak Prime Minister.
It is worth noting that earlier, Fico stated that wants to restore “normal” relations with Russia, if the war in Ukraine ends during his government's term. In his opinion, the European Union supposedly needs Russia.
Previously, he mentioned that Nazis are fighting on Ukraine's side and refused to provide military assistance to Kyiv.
