This was stated by White House advisor John Kirby.
The amount and details of the assistance have not yet been disclosed by the White House.
According to Kirby, the military aid package to Kyiv includes additional air defense systems, artillery, drones, and armored vehicles. He noted that this is already the 72nd aid package.
Kirby added that the Biden Administration will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine until the end of its term.
He also mentioned that Biden plans to have a conversation with the leaders of the G7 countries on December 13.
Recall that on December 7, the United States allocated another military aid package for Ukraine amounting to $988 million. It will include additional equipment, missiles, and drones.
On November 17, the New York Times, citing American officials, reported that U.S. President Joe Biden permitted Ukrainian forces to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike targets in Russia. Later, the U.S. State Department officially confirmed this permission granted by Joe Biden.
Additionally, the American president allegedly approved the transfer of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine amid concerns over the rapid advance of Russian troops in the eastern part of the country, as reported by the Washington Post.
Furthermore, the Biden administration submitted a statement to Congress expressing its intention to forgive nearly half of Ukraine's debt for economic assistance—approximately $4.65 billion.
The team of current U.S. President Joe Biden has assured that they are committed to doing everything necessary for Ukraine to continue fighting next year when Donald Trump enters the White House.
